Event Description
The FOURTH Annual Naked Feet 5K takes place on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Fort Lauderdale Beach.
This 5K course is entirely in the SAND. It is a SWEET out and back course that turns around at the jetty by Port Everglades. The ocean breeze will be at your side and the open water there for a cool down after the event!! The beauty of this course is that there is NO street to cross NO tracks to navigate only a leg strengthening sand!! Come enjoy running in a truly natural environment. Place awards are given only to those who complete the distance un "shod" (shoeless).
It is the only event of this kind in our area embracing the road AND trail running elements in ONE event.
Runners /walkers/triathletes /crossfitters/ fitness enthusiasts//old and young will all love this new challenge to the 5K distance.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER/CAN - NO PLASTIC BAGS /STRAWS/ WATER BOTTLES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED!
The City of Fort Lauderdale has a filtered water station at the Beach Park Pavilion - let's show our appreciation and use it!
