Event Description

Win YOUR DIVISION, Take Home the LUCKY HORSESHOE Medal at the Races where horses are spectators!

Put on your Red, White, and Blue, and start your 4th of July celebrations in the uniquely rural Orange Park Acres. The Pre-Parade 5k Race/Walk is celebrating its 10th year of encouraging the love of running and creating lasting family memories. The exhilarating 10K EPIC CHALLENGE Cross Country Race will blow your socks off. You have never experienced anything like it in Orange County – challenging, fun, full of surprise and character. Participants come from across the county to across the globe!

Dynamic registration/bib pick up begins at 6:30 am.

10K Epic Challenge CROSS-COUNTRY Race shoots at 7:15 am. This exciting and invigorating race is for ages 11 and up, and hits the trails and hills in this idyllic setting. It is a more challenging course, not for the weak of knees or ankles, as it traverses multiple trail surfaces from road to dirt, mulch, sand, the probability of a seasonal creek water crossing or two,  and includes steep vertical grade changes.

The family-friendly Pre-Parade 5K race/walk shoots at 7:45 am and traverses thru the rural equestrian Orange Park Acres community,  situated on the east edge of Orange. Enjoy passing horses grazing in pastures and many catch a glimpse or two of unusual farm animals and miniature horses. It is the perfect race for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities and it's stroller friendly as well.

Participants medals for finishers.

Custom medals awarded for the top three finishers in each age bracket.

Most Patriotic Male, Female, and small group/Family awards are by crowd selection.

All participants registered by June 10th receive a race performance Tee shirt. Tee shirts are not guaranteed beyond this date and are on a first come –first served basis. We ask for no pets on the race course for their safety as well as the safety of other participants.

Bring chairs to find a spot (away from the staging area) to enjoy the parade immediately following the races at 9:30 am. It closely follows the "4th of July" Parade route - a 50 plus year tradition.

Pre-Race bib pick-up/on-site registration: Tuesday, July 2nd, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Salem Lutheran Church and School, 6500 E. Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, CA 92869 (Frank St)
