Event Description

The Vallejo Glo Run Tribute to Officer Augustine Vegas lights up the night with a fun sunset 5K run/walk!  For the first time ever runners will enjoy a ride on the Vallejo Ferry from the Waterfront over the Mare Island Straight to begin the scenic point to point course through Historic Mare Island, past the Naval Shipyard, over the Causeway, finishing on the Vallejo Waterfront River Park!  You won't want to miss this, come light up the night with us! 

Event includes free glow body paint (while supplies last).  Come early and stay late to enjoy the pre and post race EXPO with music, refreshments, warm ups and costume contest for fun and creative "Glo" themed costumes. Event benefits Foster Greatness supporting foster teens. 

Event details and schedule

This event will benefit Foster Greatness a 501(c)3 organization established to assist Vallejo's foster teens. The 5K-Run/Walk will start and end in Historic Downtown Vallejo. Race start time is 6:50 PM on the Vallejo Waterfront near the Vallejo Ferry Terminal, 289 Mare Island Way in Vallejo, Ca.  Check in begins at 4:00pm on Race Day.  Registration guarantees music, warm ups and refreshments. Tons of surprises and a prize for best costume!

You may register in-person on race day at The Hub located near the Vallejo Ferry Terminal, 289 Mare Island Way in Downtown Vallejo between 4:00pm-5:30pm. Please arrive in plenty of time for parking and registration before the race starts at 6:50pm. 

Plenty of free parking is available 1 block south of Marin/Georgia Street. Wear your brightest, reflective and wacky clothing you have and light up the night!
