Event Description
The Super Hero Obstacle Race is the first event of its kind in Carlsbad and is designed specifically for families. Parents and children run together through a super hero-themed 2K obstacle course. Energy and excitement will be high while each participant, dressed in his or her favorite super hero costume, conquers inflatable mazes and slides, wrecking balls, toxic tunnels, tight ropes, a web crawler and other obstacles along the way. All participants will receive a free super hero cape, bib, and finishing medal.
Online registration ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 30. However, you can register on-site until 10 a.m. on the day of the event, Sunday, October 2.
Event details and schedule
The Super Hero Obstacle Race is designed for adventure-seeking parents and their children. The suggested age for children is 4 years and older.
Parents and children run as a team through each obstacle. Each parent and child must register separately.
Registration:
You can register online until 5 p.m. on Friday, September 30. However, you can also register on-site at the event until 10 a.m. on the day of the event, Sunday, October 2.
Directions to race:
The Super Hero Obstacle Race is held at the Alga Norte Community Park, 6565 Alicante Road, Carlsbad. Exit Interstate 5 at Palomar Airport Road and head east. Turn right onto El Camino Real, left onto Poinsettia Lane, and left onto Alicante. The park is on your left.
