Date, Time, & Place: Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 7:30 AM. Starts and Finishes at the Carter Mill
community swimming pool, 9218 Carter Mill Dr. Knoxville, TN  37924.
Directions: From Knoxville go east I-40 to exit 398 - Strawberry Plains Pike. Go left at the end of the ramp
onto Strawberry Plains Pike. Go 3 miles then turn right onto Hwy. #70. Go 1/2 mile and turn
right on Carter School Rd. Go 1/4 mile, turn right on Carter Mill Drive. The pool is on your left.
Course Description and Highlights: USATF course certification #TN16039MS Out and back course that runs on rolling, rural roads, with the second half slightly more downhill, especially the last 1/2 mile.  This course is open to traffic. Course closes after 1 hour, 40 minutes.
Registration (NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS): KTC discount, volunteer coupon vouchers, and other discounts during early, online registration only. Early Bird Pricing: through 3/21: $25. Normal Registration: 03/22-07/03 $30. Late Registration: 07/04-07/17 $35. Day of Registration: 07/18 $40 Race day registration from 6:15 am to 7:15 am at the Carter Mill Pool. 
Towels: Pre-registered runners will receive a custom beach towel on race day (no t-shirts). Late Registrants will receive towels as supplies last.

Awards: Awards to the top 3 Overall, top Masters (As defined by fastest person age 40 and above, not limited to 40-49) Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 50 and above, not limited to 50-59), Senior Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 60 and above, not limited to 60-69) male and female. Age Divisions will be in 10 year increments (five deep).  Awards to the top Clydesdale (male, 200 lbs+) and Athena
(female, 150 lbs+).  Overall winners not eligible for age division awards. Awards must be picked up during the awards ceremony. Awards will not be mailed.
Grand Prix Points: 2020 Grand Prix  Presented by Threds Points awarded at this race. Remember, to participate in the GrandPrix Presented by Threds, runners must be a KTC Member and MUST volunteer at least 3 times at KTC Grand Prix events to qualify.
Refreshments: Post Race Refreshments and swimming will be provided for all runners and walkers at the pool.
Results: Complete results will be available on the KTC Website at www.ktc.org.
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course.  Failure to follow might result in disqualification. 
This is an open course to traffic, therefore headphones are strongly discouraged.

KTC Safety Policy: KTC’s mission is to encourage lifelong physical well-being through running and walking. That is accomplished through a variety of events and programming.
The Knoxville Track Club puts the safety of its participants, spectators, staff and volunteers first. Dangerous weather conditions pose a unique challenge to an event of any size, distance or location.

Therefore, KTC has adopted the following Inclement Weather Policy:
Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, extreme temperatures and humidity. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these conditions on Knoxville Track Club’s website (www.ktc.org), as well as through other available means of communication such as e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and public address announcements.
The Executive Director and Race Director in consultation, when available, with law enforcement, fire/EMS, other medical officers and other officials, will monitor the weather and make a decision if any action will be taken to modify the race. Possible changes include: Altering the start time, altering the course, or in extreme situations cancellation of the event. Visible lightning occurring within 30 minutes of the scheduled start will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 30 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 30-minute increments up to a maximum of 3 delays.
Race personnel reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race or modify the course due to inclement weather. As stated on registration and race pages, there are no refunds or transfers. Participants must abandon the race if ordered to do so by the race personnel, medical staff, fire/paramedics or police personnel.
