Proceeds from the Run with Docs 5K will support Virtua's Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program: Virtua's Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program provides care to families that face challenges before and after the loss of an infant.

Proceeds from the Run with the Docs 5k will support the comprehensive Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program for families in our region. The program will help ensure that families who experience the loss of a pregnancy or infant loss have access to a multidisciplinary range of services that provide comfort and support during a very difficult time.

Thanks to generous gifts already made in support of the program, Virtua hired a manager for the Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program in 2015. This position continues to be fully funded through donations and is a resource for families in our region, whether they are patients at Virtua or another health care system.
