Event Description

Show your patriotism and honor our current and past military veterans by running this challenging 5K!  All proceeds will go to the National Ability Center's Veteran and Military Programs.  Runners will receive a bugle "First Call" start and run through beautiful Jordanelle State Park.  Along the course, runners will pass through checkpoints representing each of the major wars:  WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam War, Gulf War, and the War on Terror.  All 5K runners will receive participation medals and race shirts.  Awards will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers according to age categories as well as for overall race awards.  Top male and female runners will receive a cabin stay at Jordanelle and awards.  All participants will receive raffle tickets for a chance to win other prizes.   All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a medal.  Additional fee for race shirts.  A pancake breakfast will also be available for an additional fee.  $3/person and 3 and under and military are free for the pancake breakfast.  Your race registration covers your entry into the park.  Packet pickup is Friday from 9am to 6pm at the park office or on race day beginning at 6:45AM.   Race entry for military is FREE with DOD ID.  

Directions:  Jordanelle State Park, Hailstone Park Office, is located off Highway 40, Exit 8 (between Park City and Heber), and then follow S.R. 319 towards the reservoir to the park entrance.  The Office is located in the large building to the left (east) of the entrance gates (where the flag pole is).
