Ride your bike + Contribute to a good cause = Create a better community
Every cyclist knows two things are necessary to truly experience the beauty of a region: your bike, and your friends. The Tour de Saint George is your opportunity to have a truly amazing experience on your bike, with your friends—while marveling at the beauty that is Southern Utah.
In other areas of our country, October gets cold as the riding season wraps up. However, fall in our area is perfect for riding! When you ride the fall Tour de Saint George, you’ll be greeted by mild temperatures. Saint George comes alive with the whisper of rubber-on-road as cyclists wind through colorful streets and skirt the pastel waves of Utah’s southern desert. 35, 75, and 100-mile ride options all have breathtaking scenery.
And get this: not only will you ride in good temps, not only will you get to ride with friends, not only will the Tour be a great way to finish out your season, not only will you do something good for yourself, but you will also get to do something good for people in our community.
This year, Red Rock Bicycle is partnering with Switchpoint, Saint George's Community Resource Center, in "Breaking the Cycles of Homelessness". Switchpoint provides a stepping stone to independence for our area's currently-homeless population. Feel good about riding toward your distance goal while riding towards Red Rock Bicycle's and Switchpoint's goal of raising $45,000. As a rider, you have the opportunity to kick some serious Spandex-clad-chamois-cushioned booty while helping Switchpoint and the families that need some extra help.
So, join us Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 and celebrate cycling, friends, and your contribution to a great cause! Together we can "Break Cycles of Homelessness" in Saint George.
DETAILS • Event is chipped timed. • The Tour is capped at 1000 riders, so register now and lock in your spot. • Tour the scenic landscapes of Sand Hollow State Park & Snow Canyon State Park. • Enjoy fully stocked rest stops, a great lunch, and more, like great swag! • Choose a distance to challenge yourself: 35, 75, or 100 miles. • Receive a custom Tour de St. George event medal with your registration. • We are only 90 minutes North of Las Vegas, and four hours south of Salt Lake City.
