We want to welcome you to our community for the inaugural Equinox Trail Run presented by Avimor.
The equinox trail run kicks off at Foothills Heritage Park with a 7.16 mile course that includes almost 1,000 feet of ascent. The event will be based out of the Spring creek trail head with a course that includes trails such as Spring creek, the West Wall and the newly constructed Baun's Eye. Views of the valley and the near full moon with be presented to you as you traverse your way down from the wall back into Avimor. Concluding your run, join us for beer and food from local vendors such as TBD.
Enjoy this fun 12k trail run in the Boise Foothills
This race is 7.16 miles of true foothills single-track, with almost 1,000 feet of total elevation gain. The race starts at Heritage Park in Avimor and proceeds up Spring Valley Creek along one mile of rolling single track. From there, runners will proceed up a twisting, scenic canyon at a gradual incline adjacent to the creek. Racers must be prepared for rocky outcrops, steep slopes, and wildlife. Once out of the canyon, runners will have a brief, flat descent before a short, monster climb up “The West Wall”. After the climb, runners will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Boise Valley before a fast, flat downhill through an open, grass-filled valley. The last ascent is quick and easy and leads to meandering single-track, followed by the last downhill of paved paradise, ending back at Heritage Park. This adventure will end with food, beer, wine, and camaraderie.
