2020 is the year of FSRC Virtual Races, so let's make this one fun!
Here's How It Works
- Make sure that you're a member of FSRC if you want to get into the race for free (see below)
- Register for the Virtual 10k (or the Virtual One-Mile Fun Run)
- Print out your virtual bib (optional)
- Run anytime on July 18 or July 19
- Report your result (optional)
- Share your photos (optional)
- Print out your finisher certificate (optional)
- Eat some Pie!
Free for FSRC Members
Our low-key races are free for Steeplechaser members, so YAY!
You must be a club member on July 18th in order to get free race entry. Otherwise, it's $10 for the 10k and $5 for the Fun Run. When you register, the race fee will initially be displayed, but then will be removed as a discount as you go through the check-out process. So DON'T panic if you see the fee!
If you’re not a club member, you can join at https://runsignup.com/fsrc. If you are renewing a membership, you can renew at https://runsignup.com/Club/SearchForRenew/668.
If you think you are a paid member of the club and you can't register for free, please check the spelling of the name you used to join the club, using https://runsignup.com/Club/SearchForRenew/668. The system checks for a matching birth date, so please check your RunSignUp profile. If this still doesn't offer the ability to register for the race for free, email membership@steeplechasers.org for assistance.
Finally - if you currently have an individual membership and would like to upgrade to "Two-In-Household" or "Family" membership in order to get the free race entry for family members, contact our membership committee at membership@steeplechasers.org.
Course Description
This is a virtual race, so you get to choose your course. But to run in the true spirit of the Pie Run, you're encouraged to find some real hills. Earn that pie!
Competition
The Pie Run will count towards the FSRC Grand Prix participation award for 2020 (four races required), but virtual races are not valid for the competitive Grand Prix rankings. To make sure that your 10k counts towards the Grand Prix participation, submit your results after your race.
There are no competitive awards for the Pie Run, but the race has a long history of bragging-rights pie-making. Or pie-buying. Participants are encouraged to do some quarantine-baking or purchasing and post photos of your pie. And/or you with your pie. The Race Director will be reviewing the submissions and mailing awards. There will be a kid's division, so get those kids into the kitchen and out for the run!
