Event Description

A 5k run/walk in the park for the entire family - including your dog! Proceeds will benefit the Panhandle Animal Shelter and all of the animals we serve.

Enjoy a scenic route in beautiful Dover, Idaho while we raise much needed funds to help us in our mission to diminish the number of lost, abandoned, neglected and abused dogs and cats through adoption, litter prevention and identification of missing pets.

Event details and schedule

What you need to know:

Competitive runners will line up in the front and take off very fast. If you are new to this type of event, please line up in the back or middle of the pack.

If your dog is new to this type of event, please give them plenty of room (near the back or to the side) to ease into the race start.

All dogs will receive a poop bag. Please carry it with you during the event and use as necessary. 

Please use a standard 4 foot leash. If you only have a retractable leash, please keep it at 4 feet.

This is a family event, and we are expecting a lot of kids and all types of dogs. If your best friend has anxiety or shows aggression, please keep them at home.

Small Print

Anyone running or walking will need to register.

Online registration will be available until September 24 for $25.

Mail-in registration is available until September 23 for $25. 

Race day registration will be available at 7 AM and will be $25 a person. Cash or check only on day of race registration.

5k runners start promptly at 9 AM, walkers to follow at 9:15.
