Event Description

The Frankenmuth Jaycees are proud to host their annual Independence Day races!  The Volksläufe, German for "The People's Race," is held annually in celebration of family, friendship, and fitness!  The race’s certified 5K, 10K, and 20K courses begin and end in beautiful Heritage Park.  The scenic routes wind runners around historic Frankenmuth, over the famed Holzbrücke wooden bridge and the Cass River.  For our younger race enthusiasts, there is also a family-friendly 2K Fun Run!

Please Note: All race times have CHANGED one hour! With the following start times:

10K- 0700 AM 

20K- 0710AM

5K Run- 0900 AM 

5KWalk- 0915 AM 

2K Fun Run- 1000AM

Online Registration ends July 1st!  We cannot guarantee a race shirt at on-site registration - so be sure to register early to score your one-of-a-kind Volksläufe t-shirt!
