Event Description

11th annual Strut for the Strays! The CHIPPED timed, USATF Certified course, starts on the road (Watkins to Stone Jug to Gethings and back) and finishes on the trails behind the shelter.  Leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate in the event!

Register 3 or more at the same time and receive $2 off per registrant! (does not apply to canine registration)

T-shirts are provided for all paid participants registered by July 06, 2020, participants registered after will receive shirts as supplies last.

People Awards: There are prizes for the first place participant in three categories: men, women 17 and older and kids 16 and younger. Medals for second and third in those categories.

Canine Awards: This year we will again celebrate our canine participants. There will be medals for 1st-3rd on the canine participants and a gift basket for the first place dog.  Please sign your dog up separately for them to be eligible for prizes ($5 entry fee for dogs).

Refreshments are provided directly after the event.

Packet pick up and Race day Registration starts at 7:30am. The race begins at 8:30am.

All proceeds from this event are used to provide medical care, primarily heart worm preventative, treatment and vaccines for our animals at the shelter. Thank you for supporting our animals!! Leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate in the event. Consider an extra donation and earn a FREE entry to the race. Details below.

The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.
