EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Black Squirrel Scurry is a triathlon that features a 2 mile paddle down the Prairie River, a 17.5 mile bike ride featuring the River Bend Trail out to the countryside of Lincoln County, and a 5K trail run through the Merrill Area Rec Complex and Council Grounds State Park.   Park at the MARC and catch a shuttle bus to Prairie River Park. ($65 Solo, $35 19U Solo, $120 Tandems & Relays) Socks guaranteed if registered by July 10th.

$65 Solo Ages 20 and Older. $75 after July 1, 2020. $90 Fri, July 24th
$35 Solo 19U
$120 Tandem and Relay Teams Ages 20 and Older. $130 after July 1, 2020. $150 Fri, July 24
$65 Tandem and Relay Teams 19U
 
EVENT SCHEDULE:
Friday, July 24th (MARC)
5:00-8:00 PM Bag Pick-up,
Onsite Registration Friday only ($90 solo, $150 Tandems and Relays)
 
RACE DAY: July 25th
6:30 AM Transition areas open up.   Bag pick up 6-8 AM at Prairie Trails Park (No onsite Reg).  Shuttle buses from MARC to Prairie Trails 7:15 AM to 8:45 AM (every 15 minutes)
8:30 AM First racer takes off.   Racers take off in 30 sec intervals.
1:30 PM  Awards at Ballyhoos Pub and Grill/Cenotaph Park (Raffle follows Awards)
4:00 PM Lobsterfest  – Lobster dinners must be preordered (See race website)
 
AWARDS:
Top 3 for all divisions: Solo Age divisions for  males and females.
Relay divisions:  corporate, male, female, coed (Adult & 19U).
Tandem divisions: Overall
Plaque to 1) top male and female finisher also earns free registration for 2021.  2)Top corporate team also earns free registration for business/organization for 2021.  3) Top 19U relay team. 4) Top Tandem over-all

 

BENEFICIARIES:  Northwoods Veterans Post and Friends of the River Bend Trail

 

WEATHER POLICY: We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to lightning or severe weather.  Unsafe river conditions may cause the elimination of the paddling portion and a biathlon will be held starting at the 3rd St Bridge.  All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
