Event Description
The Brompton World Championships are returning to the renowned Harlem SkyScraper Criterium this June! This fast, four-corner course is bound to produce an exciting race as participants fight for the chance to win a round-trip flight to London and a place at the front of the start grid at the BWC Finals in London. The Finals sold out within minutes - making a victory at a national level your only chance to compete!
Racers will compete on the same course as the professional criterium racers, looping Marcus Garvey Park for 10 laps - equal to 8 miles- at approx. 1:15 PM.
Brompton World Championship races are reserved for Brompton bicycles only, with all participants adhering to the business casual dress code, detailed below.
Don’t own a Brompton but have legs like the wind (or a seriously cool outfit)? A limited number of rentals will be available via Brompton Junction New York as well as a pre-race tune up special. To arrange a rental or service call 917 965 2845 or email ny@bromptonjunction.com.

Categories & Prizes
All racers will compete in a single race and results will then separated out into subcategories. You are eligible for prizes and results in each category you are qualified for:
- Fastest Woman (Winner receives round-trip flight* + entry to BWC Finals)

Overall Team (minimum of 3 riders, scored based on combined time of the top 3 finishers of the team)

Women’s Team (minimum of 3 riders, scored based on combined time of the top 3 finishers of the team)

Veteran Man (Over 50 years old on June 16, 2019)

Veteran Woman (Over 50 years old on June 16, 2019)

Best Dressed Woman (Judged by the Brompton team and guest judges)

Best Dressed Man (Judged by the Brompton team and guest judges)
*Flights must be booked by Brompton before July 1st and will be capped at $1000.
Dress Code & Best Dressed
All riders are required to wear a suit jacket, collared shirt, and necktie. Shorts, three-quarter length trousers, skirts, and dresses are all permitted. There is no restriction on footwear. No visible lycra is permitted.
