Event Description

The Mayors run is a 5K (3.1 mile) run and walk through beautiful Alameda starting at 9AM, just before the historic 4th of July Parade. This run benefits the Midway Shelter for Women and Children. 

The race starts at 1420 Park Street in front of Lauren’s Closet and follows the Alameda parade route ending at Haight and Webster. The scenic course is completely closed to traffic as you run past spectators waiting for the parade to start. your run will finish just past the parade judging booth, and there will be water, Nuun hydration and Cliff bars! 

Event details and schedule

The 5k starts at 9:45am this year, which is a change from past years so plan accordingly. Parking will be limited due to people getting there early for the parade. We will have early packet pick-up at Lauren's closet, or race day packet pick-up will start at 8am.

Runners will receive a T-shirt and top 3 age group finishers will receive a medal
