Event Description

The coronavirus is here, and the battle to control it means we can't gather in person for this year's Night Owl 5K. But we aren't going to let that get us down! Instead, the race will go on, with each participant running their own "virutal 5K" at a time and place of your choosing. Just register here on ACTIVE.com, then run your own 5K on race day, and send us your time and (if you like) a picture of you running. We will collect the times, award medals, give out prizes for "best costume" and "most unique location," and generally find a way to have a great time despite the challenges.

We need your help! By registering for the race, you will be helping us stay afloat and care for the wild animal patients we have despite the harships of the coronavirus. You can also choose to sponsor a patient during the signup process, so look for that as well.

AWARE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations and race proceeds will directly benefit AWARE's mission. AWARE is the only rehabilitation center in Georgia that treats all native wildlife species. AWARE helps up to 2,000 injured or orphaned wild animals each year and educates thousands of children and adults in the greater Atlanta community on ways to preserve, promote, and protect Georgia's wildlife and their natural habitats.  Thank you so much for your support!
