Join us in the fight to beat cancer!
The DNT Fitness group is proud to host our 2019 Race for charity in honor of our dear friend and DNT Fitness member Charles T. Coates who passed away of cancer in March 2016. The 5K family run/walk will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019. This chipped 5K fun run will benefit DNT Fitness Scholarships for College Bound High School Seniors.
When: Saturday, October 12, 2019, 9:30 AM AM – 11:30 AM
Who: All ages welcomed
Where: Jones Point Park, 125 Jones Point Drive Alexandria, VA
Cost: $35 rate for all registrations (Ages 12 and older).
*Cost includes registration and T-Shirt. Registrations after October 1st may not be guaranteed a shirt. Free registrations (including children under 12 who register for free) will not get a shirt.
Event details and schedule
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9:30 am.
The course is out-and-back starting and finishing at Jones Point Park (125 Jones Point Park, Alexandria, VA) in the parking lot. Once leaving the start line you will hang a left down South Washington Street until entering the onto the Mount Vernon trail to a turnaround point (stop sign just past Belle Haven Park) and back to the finish.
RACE PACKET INFORMATION:
We will be providing all participants with a race bib that will record your time and allow all participants to view their results. All participants that register prior to October 1st will be guaranteed to receive a T-shirt during packet pick-up. All registrations after October 1st may be asked to pick up their T-shirts at a later time after (TBD) the race.
Packet Pick-up: Friday, October 11th from 5PM - 7PM at Golds Gym (1723 Ritchie Station Ct A, Forestville, MD 20747 ) in the main lobby. RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP will be from 8:00AM-9:00AM.
Awards:
The award ceremony will begin directly following the Run. Awards given for the 5K will be:
- Top Overall 1st Place Male & Female
- Youngest participant
- Most mature participant
