The Beaverhead Y-Tri

$45 per individual, $95 per team
The Beaverhead Y-tri is a sprint-distance event perfect for beginners to test their resolve. Experienced racers will enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Smiles, cheers, and high-fives abound from fellow racers, organizers, and fans! Plan to join us for a great race, and bring your friends and family. Volunteers are needed and appreciated!
Sprint Distance
750 yd pool swim, 12.1 mile bike, 5k run
15 laps in a 25 yard pool, 2 or 3 swimmers per lane. The bike course is out and back on Highway 41; mostly flat with a couple light rollers, and one short pull over the interchange to get you back to the Y. Run course is a flat 5k out and back on Park Street and 10-Mile Road.
SWIM: 750 YARDS (15 laps) Swim will be set up in heats with 2 – 3 swimmers per lane. Heats will start promptly on the designated time according to the master clock. Heats will be arranged according to your estimated swim time. Please be as accurate as possible.
BIKE: 12.2 MILES
Bike course leaves the transition area at the Y heading north on Swenson Way to Interchange Road. Make a right onto interchange road to the intersection of Montana Street. Turn left onto Montana Street/Hwy 41, and head north to the bike turn around at Stone Creek Road.
RUN: 5k
Run course is out and back on Park Street and 10-mile road. An aid station will be at the run turnaround.
TEAM CATEGORIES
There will be male, female, and co-ed team categories. Co-ed teams must have at least one male and one female. Teams are required to hand touch in transition.
RULES
Support crews will not be allowed on any portion of the race course.
ANSI, SNELL, or CPSC approved helmets are required on the bike course.
Allow two bike lengths between riders unless passing.
Wetsuits and other swim aids will not be allowed in the pool.
No headphones or earbuds will be allowed on any part of the course.
AWARDS - Age Groups and Teams Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age category provided there are at least four entries. Age categories will be as follows: 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+.
Prizes will be awarded for the top finisher in each team category.
