Event Description

The CyMan Sprint Triathlon welcomes triathletes of all ages and abilities to compete in beautiful Central Iowa. Taking place in Bondurant, Iowa, the race begins with a 750m swim in Lake Petocka. The 25km bike route is held on paved roadways and takes participants through the beautiful Iowa countryside. The 5km run route follows the Chichaqua Valley Trail and ends with a lap around Lake Petocka for a scenic and exciting finish. 

Medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division. Please join us for a fun and competitive race!

Saturday, 9/21: 

12:00 – 3:00 pm Packet pickup at Bike World, 126 S 3rd St, Ames, IA 50010 

4:00 – 7:00 pm Packet pickup at Lake Petocka, 8037 Pleasant St NE, Bondurant, IA 50035

Packet Pickup will only be offered on Saturday afternoon/evening, no Sunday morning pickup will be available.* Every participant must pick up their own race packet - including all relay members - and you will be required to present a valid USAT membership to recieve your packet.

Sunday, 9/22: 

7:30 - 8:45 am Transition is open 

8:45 am Transition is closed 

8:45 am Prerace meeting 

9:00 am Race begins via water wave start 

11:30 am Transition reopens for bike/equipment removal 

12:00 pm Awards 

The course will officially close as participants finish each leg. The run course will remain open until the last participant has finished.
