Event Description

Hope, Steps & A Cure Los Angeles 2015 is a fun and festive 5K Run and Walk for patients with bone marrow failure disease, their families, friends and supporters and will include team photos and inspiring stories from patients, family members and medical professionals. 

This year our 5K Marketing Committee has pledged to double the attendance at 5K Run and are committed to making our 5K one of the premier running events in the South Bay area. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for Patient & Family Services provided by AA&MDSIF and to register 30 new donors for the National Marrow Registry.

Awards

Top Prizes:  $100 cash prize for male and female who break last year’s time. The top male time was 18:45.20 run by – Clint Lindsy; the top female time was 23:23.60 run by Cacey Madden.

All other awards will be given for 1st overall M/F and 1st Master M/F and then by age group in five-year increments starting with age 14 and under up to 70+.

Onsite Registration opens at 7:00 am at Shoreline Village in front of Wheel Fun Rentals (formerly the All-American Melodrama Theater).

Packet Pick-Up

Packet Pick-Up will be Friday, April 24, 2015, Noon-6:00 pm, at RUNNERS HIGH, 5338 E. 2nd St, Long Beach. Come in and meet our Assistant Race Director, Laurie Beverage, and pick up your packet and number.

Race-Day Registration

Saturday, April 25, 2015; 7:00 am - 7:45 am, at Shoreline Village, 429 Shoreline Village Drive, next to Parker’s Lighthouse.

Early Registration up to Midnight, Wednesday, April 22, 2015

5K - $30 for adults 15 and older

5K - $20 for youth 14 and under

Walk and 5K - $40 for both regardless of age
