Show your grit in the fight against cancer by running or walking through spectacular John Wayne movie locations, rugged western landscapes and courses at iconic rodeos. Run or hike dirt roads and winding trails with views of iconic Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous U.S. Be transported back in time to the historic wild west in the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, CA. This area has breathtaking rugged western terrain including natural arches, blue skies and snow packed peaks. The course also passes through many John Wayne movie locations like How the West Was Won and more!

- Packet Pick Up 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Race Shirt distribution 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Bib distribution 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Please be sure to have Waiver and ID ready at Pick Up
- Whiskey Sampling 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Saturday, October 5, 2019
- Parking for ALL runners will be held at Lone Pine Museum
- 701 South Main Street, Lone Pine, CA 93545
- ALL Runners will be shuttled to Start line and brought back to Parking at Lone Pine Museum
- Shuttle buses will return runners to Museum Parking Lot beginning at 10:00 AM
- NO VEHICLES ALLOWED at Start/Finish
- CAMPSITES AVAILABLE at Tuttle Creek & Lone Pine Creek
- Dow Villa Motel has rooms blocked off for John Wayne Cancer Foundation participants at a first come-first served basis.
- Volunteers will drive their own vehicle to their aid station
- 4 Water and Snack aid stations on the course
- 2 Medical tents will be on course
Pre Race announcements will start promptly at 6:45 AM
HALF MARATHON will start at 7:00 AM
10K will start at 8:00 AM
