Event Description
Welcome to San Diego's only trail race through beautiful Gonzales Canyon Open Space and Torrey Highlands Community Park.
Participants at the 6th annual Carmel Valley trail race, regards of distance, will experience one of the hillier courses you will find without heading to the mountains. Elevation gains are only between 300'-700" depending on the course, and some of the hills you may encounter are short, but steep. As one runner said at the conclusion of the race.
Don't let the coastal backdrop fool you... this event can feel like a mountain race so train like it is. This event within the running community has quickly earned the reputation as San Diego's Hardest 5k (but the 10k and 15k course are no slouches)

*We have adjusted our prices, so that they do NOT include a race shirt. If you would like to take advantage of the shirt option, it is $5, and can be added in the Swag area of your registration. For those runners adding the shirt option, we ask that you register at least 10 days prior to race day, to be guaranteed of your shirt order. If you are within the 10 day window, we will ask you to pick up your shirt after the race, from the sizes available. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
