Event Description

Register today! – T-shirts guaranteed to all racers who register by November 1st. The Saint John Paul the Great JP5K and Fun Run support our Special Services including our Options Program, an innovative, inclusive special education program for students with moderate intellectual or cognitive disabilities (such as Down Syndrome) who cannot access the general curriculum.

The race will start and finish on the school’s campus. This in an excellent race for the whole family from beginners to competitive runners, and everyone in-between. Participants may register for either the 5K (3.1 miles) or the fun run (0.5 mile).

Pancake Breakfast - The National Honor Society will host a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m. and continuing after the race. Donations for the pancake breakfast will support the Special Services including the Options Program.

First, second, and third place medals will be awarded for each age group category for the JP5K. Finisher medals will be presented to all who complete the Fun Run.

Raffle - Purchase your raffle tickets today under the tab at the top to win exciting prizes including World Series Champion Washington Nationals tickets, as well as Washington Capitals tickets among our many prizes! 



Register by November 1st to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Late registrations gladly accepted though t-shirts are not guaranteed.



Packet Pick-up

Friday – November 8th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in the school’s gym lobby.

Race morning from 7:30-8:45 a.m. in the same location.

The race packet will include both the JP5K t-shirt and race bib.

Participants in both the JP5K and the Fun Run should arrive at Saint John Paul the Great High School between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on race day. Parking will be available at the school. The parking lot at the school will be closed at 8:50 a.m. and will re-open when the last runner finishes. Runners and walkers should plan to be at the starting line by 8:50 a.m.
