Event Description

Only 250 feet of elevation change over 1 mile. How hard can that be?

Choose bike, run or both! It's a time trial format where riders will start one at a time and race against the clock.  Once the bikers are done, it's time for the runners.  Runners will leave in small groups for a sole crushing miler.  How hard can it be?  Try it and find out.

Schedule

5:30 Packet pickup
6:30 Bike time trial
7:15 Run time trial

Bike format

The race is a time trial format. Riders will be assigned a start time prior to the event.  Riders will leave the start line every 10 seconds starting at 6:30. Your time starts at your assigned start time and stops when you cross the finish line even if you are walking your bike!  The race is limited to 150 riders.

All bike formats are welcome except electric bikes for the obvious reason. Tri, mountain, or big wheels. We don't care as long as you have a helmet on.

Run format

Runners will leave the start line in groups of 10 every 30 seconds. Your time starts at your assigned start time. 

Times and waves will be assigned prior to the race. Please start the race at your assigned time.

Do Them Both

There will be enough time between the bike and run if you want to do both, and you should.  The same chip will be used, but you must register for both events. 

Parking

Parking is available at the start line, half way up, and at the finish line.

Riding In The Park

All downhill riding should be done slowly.  Our permit requires riders to ride downhill slowly as the roads will be open to vehicles and there will be other athletes still racing.

Aid Station

There is one aid station at the top of the hill.  By aid, we mean water.

The Silver Circle Sports Running Team will be at the top of the hill cheering you on. Once you are done, join them and help your fellow runner/rider crest the hill.

Awards

Overall male and female in both divisions will receive flowers and an acrylic plaque. Age group medals male / female 0-19 and every 10 years up to 90.
