Event Description

First annual Run for Hope 5K and Survivor Celebration hosted by SafeNest, Nevada’s largest nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence homicide in Clark County. The family friendly event is part of SafeNest’s “Paint the Town Purple” campaign during October – National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Walkers and teams are welcome. Chip timing tags will be used for the 5K only. Children 9 and under are free. To celebrate, commemorate and honor victims, survivors and families impacted by domestic violence. And importantly, to raise awareness about an issue that affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men in Nevada.
