This road race event has been designed to bring awareness to the many mental health issues that people deal with every day. Runners and walkers throughout the community can join together to support our efforts in increasing mental health awareness, fight stigmas, and encourage understanding by providing resources and support. Proceeds will be donated to CommUnity formerly the Crisis Center.
This year we are adding a little more fun to our event and are encouraging participants to dress up as their favorite superhero! We also invite you to go live on Facebook at the beginning, during, or after your walk/run, you can even upload a video! Be sure to tag @FocusUpFoundation. And remember, not all superheroes wear capes!
With everything that has been going on with COVID-19, we are working hard to continue to bring awareness to mental and suicide. As of 5/22/20, this will be a VIRTUAL RACE ONLY. If government regulations change, and permission is granted by the city, we will have a live race tentatively August 1st at 8:00 am. We will do everything we can to make this a safe race for all participants and bystanders.
