Approximately 100 CHARITY SLOTS will open in October. We will work down the WAIT LIST and each of the slots offered will require a minimum $100.00 donation to the Lavaman Supported Charities in addition to the entry fee.

DISTANCES & RACE DESCRIPTION: Olympic Distance (1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and 10K Run) Swim at Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Bike ride is out and back on the Queen Ka`ahumanu Hwy. then back into the resort. T1 & T2 are in the same location. The run is through the Waikoloa Beach Resort & the grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village and has varied terrain consisting of lava, sand, coral trail, road, lawn, & flagstone path with a beach finish. Trail shoes are recommended over racing flats.
AMENITIES: Voted: "Best Awards Party in Triathlon" ~ Beer Garden, Live Music, Beach BBQ under the coconut grove at beautiful Anaeho'omalu Bay. Shirts & medals for all finishers. Sponsor bags with swim cap, race number, coupons & samples. Athlete Entry includes 1 Awards Banquet Ticket. Additional tickets are available for $45. Sports & Fitness Expo at Packet Pick-up & great Lavaman Logo Wear ** Friday, March 31 - 5K Sunset Run at Queens' MarketPlace ** Saturday, April 1- LavaKids Aquathon.
RELAY TEAMS: EACH MEMBER OF THE RELAY TEAM MUST REGISTER SEPARATELY ON ACTIVE.COM. Relays may be two or three member teams (see fees above). Need help in putting together a team? Contact us at eventinfo@lavamantriathlon.com.
LATE REGISTRATION - Charity Slots: Once sold out, any new registrations (replacing cancellations) will require an additional Charity Donation to help raise funds for some of the many Non-Profit Organizations who volunteer for the Lavaman Triathlon. You can help support those who support you on Race Day. Details will be announced on www.lavamantriathlon.com once the race is sold out.
LAVAMAN TRI CAMPS: Check our website for the details on one of the offered Triathlon Training Camps or Programs before or after the Lavaman Triathlon. Find one that suits you and possibly raise money for a great cause. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - "Team in Training": "Big Island Training".
REFUND POLICY:
June 15, 2019 to December 31, 2019 50% Refund of Registration Fee
50% of the balance will go into the Lavaman Charity Fund and will be donated to one of the non-profits supported by Lavaman.
January 1, 2020 to February 28, 2020 No refund, but if you notify Lavaman that you will not be racing, 75% of your entry fee will go into the Lavaman Charity Fund and will be donated to one of the non-profits supported by Lavaman. You will qualify for “Early Bird” Registration for the following year’s race. *
NO REFUNDS OR CONSIDERATIONS AFTER March 1, 2020.
ALL SLOTS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. YOU MAY WISH TO PURCHASE THE INSURANCE OFFERED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION, HOWEVER, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ WHAT IS AND IS NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS OFFERED BY A THIRD PARTY AND NOT BY THE LAVAMAN.
*PROVIDING THERE ARE STILL RELAY SLOTS AVAILABLE, AN INDIVIDUAL MAY CONVERT TO A RELAY. A $25.00 CHANGE FEE WILL BE CHARGED PLUS ANY FEE DIFFERENCE.
