Event Description
This event is produced by Vacation Races and is the fourth race of the year in the National Park Half Marathon Series. Along with the Half Marathon we have a 5K on Friday night after the expo.
If you find yourself up for a bigger challenge, consider signing up for one of our double or triple events.
The race takes place on a dirt road and trail in Gallatin National Forest immediately southwest of West Yellowstone, MT. The course starts flat but has a major and a minor hill that you need to train for. You can see a map and elevation on the course link on the website. The best part of the course is that you will be less than a mile from the west park entrance. That is 32 miles from Old Faithful and 24 miles from the Grand Prismatic Spring.

Important Notes
Double & Triple Registration
Registering for this race does not qualify you for the Bison Double, Grizzly Double or Caldera Triple medals. To get the Bison, Grizzly Double Dare or Caldera Triple medal, you must register for the Bison, Grizzly Double Dare or Caldera Triple Event. *Double & Triple Events are on different dates. Make sure you are aware of the race dates.
Resort Fee
At the end of your registration, you will see a 3% fee. Normally we avoid adding fees or taxes on any of our race registrations. The town of West Yellowstone has required us to put a 3% resort tax on the race registrations. We apologize for this additional fee.
