Event Description

The OBX Marathon and Half Marathon Training Team is a new group training opportunity being offered by the Outer Banks Running Club thru Outer Banks Sporting Events to members of the Outer Banks Running Club.

We will be training for Half/Full Marathons and 5K/8K/Southern 6 Races.

Training is FREE to OBRC members. ALL LEVELS are welcome.

If you are not currently a member of the Outer Banks Running Club, you will have an opportunity to join before completing registration for the training team. 

You are automatically a club member if you signed up for our 2020 Annual Frostbite 5K Race.

 

​Our 16 Week Marathon Training Plan Starts July 5, 2020 and our

12 Week Half Marathon Training Starts August 9, 2020. You will enjoy the following Team Member benefits:

​Training Plan & Meet-ups:

​Team Member meet & greet at Waveriders Cafe: Sunday, August 9th at  2 pm.

12 and 16 week training programs with written schedule by an OBRC RRCA Certified Coach based on your fitness level.

Personal guidance and committed communication from your coaches throughout the program.

Organized & fully supported weekly group runs that include pace leaders for Saturday morning long runs.

Weekly run meet-ups on Saturday mornings (6:30 AM)​.
