Event Description

Join us for our first annual Hero Hustle 5K on Saturday, October 26th at the Savannah Rapids Park!

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, so all participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite hero. That can be a Superhero, Veteran, Scientist, Teacher, Firefighter, you name it! There will be awards in multiple age categories, team awards, and even a spirit award for your creative hero costumes!

This event is a fundraiser for the CSRA Chief Petty Officers Association, a non-profit whose mission is to develop the Navy’s future enlisted leaders and to promote ideals which embody all competencies, values, and characteristics of a Chief Petty Officer, by working for the good of the community. We do this through various volunteer work throughout the community, assisting veteran organizations, and other entities that provide opportunities to local youth organizations and scholarship funding.

Packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet in Augusta, GA on Friday, October 25th from 3-6pm.

Don't forget to dress up as your favorite hero!

Race starts prompty at 8:00am from the Major Michael Donahue Memorial statue.  The route will proceed over the foot bridge to the dirt path and will be a simple down and back with course marshalls along the course.  A water station will be provided at the turn-around point and runners will enjoy a post-race Finish Line Festival complete with vendors and post-race snacks.
