Event Description

Greetings friends of Old Hallowell Day and in short, WE ARE BACK!!

We are thrilled to have our storied celebration of Hallowell back after a two-year hiatus and are so glad to be able to put on the OHD Road Race once again.

Course: The 5K race will follow the same course as was used in 2019 which is an out and back course starting at Vaughan Field and traveling south through the Middle Street residential area and then out Litchfield Road into Hallowell's country side with a turnaround point near the intersection of Litchfield Road and Smith Road. The course returns along the same route back to Vaughan Field.

And if you have heard about the legendary "hills of Hallowell", don't fret. This course is virtually flat with a gradual incline going out and a gentle downhill return.

Registration: The field will be capped at 250 participants so please register online in advance so you will not miss out. Registration closes at the end of the day Thursday, July 14th.

Swag: Every registrant who signs up before July 1st will be guaranteed a technical running shirt from our friends at D R Designs in Manchester. Sizes will be guaranteed for all registrations received by July 1st and while supplies last if registered after July 1. We are also working on additional goodies to be included in your race day packets so stay tuned. Speaking of packets...

Packet Pick-up: This year we plan on having packet pickup the afternoon of Friday, July 15th so we can get you setup before the race. The time and location will be coming soon.

Gender Identity: Gender diversity is welcome here! Runners are encouraged to enter themselves in the Category that best fits their gender identity or expression (Female, Male or Non-Binary). If there are less than three Non-Binary participants in an Age Group, registrants will have the option to compete in the Female or Male Age Group. You also may choose to not compete for the Age Group Award if you would prefer.
