Event Description

Event details and schedule

A descendant of the Wine Country Half Marathon Series and Destination Races, the IPA 10K is a one-of-a-kind celebration of running, craft beer and much more! The Barlow, a Marketplace District in Sebastopol, California is host to this event, rightfully so, as this is the original IPA capitol of the beer universe. Beer and running enthusiasts come from all over to this popular event to run, eat, drink, mingle and cheer on the finest beer milers in the world. The event begins with a Marketplace Expo - with shirt and race packet pickup - and Welcome Reception at The Barlow on Friday. On Saturday, the IPA 10K starts with a beer and cider toast before taking runners on a scenic 6.2 mile loop course north of The Barlow. At the conclusion of the race, each runner receives a functional finisher’s medal and mini-pint good for tastings the Brewfest featuring the region's finest craft brews and ciders, wine, food, bands and exhibitors. During the Brewfest the crowd gathers along the Beer Mile course to watch the worlds fastest beer milers chase each around a block of The Barlow. Brewery teams of four then compete against each other in hopes of winning the Growler Trophy in the highly entertaining Relay Challenge
