Event Description

     Due to the unique situation that COVID-19 has created in our lives, the race directors have cautiously re-designed some of the aspects of this race, thanks to much support and advisement from professional and experienced experts. All participants should read and be prepared to respectfully follow each aspect of this event's description:

Amended Course:   *The Start/Finish Line is at Hawk Creek Country Club, just beyond the NW corner of the clubhouse. 

      *Runners are asked to choose a staggered start time (between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m.) and arrive at the starting line area (look for posted start time signs) 10 min. prior to that time, wearing their bib and being mindful of social distancing etiquette/care. Race Directors, Events Timer, and Race Volunteers will be wearing masks. Please also wear a mask when not running, if a 6 ft. distance between others is not possible. Restroom facilities are minimal, so try to plan accordingly.  

      *Still primarily grass & gravel, this is a new trail route with familiar segments from previous years. It winds along and over Hawk Creek within the golf course setting (bypassing the Raymond Nature Trail this year). 

      *There will be 10 oz. bottled water available as a “grab-n-go”  refreshment near the 2-mile mark. All other refreshments will be handed out during race packet pick-up on Fri., Aust 21st, 8am - 7pm at Hawk Creek Country Club.  Contact the race director if unable to pick up race packet on 8/22:     bkhauser2@gmail.com 

       *Runners are asked to bring their race packet refreshments with them on race day to refuel after the race.

Team Contests: Registrations must be online or sent in together to qualify for either category: 

    -Fastest Team: Average time for top two runners from each team. Top 3 teams will be awarded RAR sweat towels.

    -Largest Team: RAR sweat towels will be given to the team with the most participants who register by 8/14!

Awards:   *All runners will receive a coupon in their race packet to golf the course they have just Run (2 green fees for the price of one).

   **Announced from the clubhouse deck, the awards will be handed out in front of the fountain, just beyond the deck. Runners are welcomed to stay and wait for the awards at the conclusion of the race, provided that runners remember to follow social distance guidelines.

Registration: Due to the need to follow CDC guidelines for the COVID19 pandemic, there will be no race day registrations. Runners should register online by 4:00 pm on 8/20 at the latest.

   *Age 15 & over = $25/person (if received by August 14); $30/person (if received after August 14)             

    *Age 14 & under =  $20/person (if received by August 14); $25/person (if received after August 14)
