Event Description

The Cheyenne Mountain Run on October 12, 2019 will feature two trail races, a 25K for the more advanced trail runner and a 3 mile trail run for all to enjoy.
 
In the Fall of 2018, the Dixon Trail was opened at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs CO and it provides access to points near the top of Cheyenne Mountain. The 25k race will start at 9:00 at the Limekiln Trailhead at an elevation of 6,000 feet.  At the top of the Dixon Trail at an elevation of 9,200 feet runners will head downhill for the entire 4.5 miles of the Dixon trail and return to the Limekiln Trailhead. Total elevation gain and loss will be about 3,200 over the 25K distance.
3M+/- Trail Run:  Start Time 9:30 AM
From the Limekiln parking lot it will follow the Talon trail to the Sundance trail junction at about 1.5 miles. The 3 Mile race will turn right onto the Sundance trail and return to the finish at the Limekiln trailhead. This is a loop course with one water stop at the Talon/ Sundance junction.
