Are you up for the Dirty Dog Challenge?
The 5th Annual Dirty Dog Trail 4 Miler will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 9:00am at Veteran's Park. We are pleased to have Lexington Clinic Veterans Park as our presenting sponsor.
The 4 mile course will traverse portions of the park, trails and some pathways along/around the scenic East Hickman River. The race will be chip timed and awards will be presented for top 3 M/F Overall and top 3 in each of 11 age groups. Commemorative T-shirts will be provided to all registrants. Runners & walkers of all experience levels are welcomed.
We also have our Top Dogs Team Competition for 2-Person male, female and co-ed teams. Grab and friend and run together! Your two times will be scored together and compared to other teams in your division. Winners for all 3 divisions (2-Person Male, 2-Person Female, 2-Person Co-ed) each receive free race registrations to a future RaceRise race of comparable value. Runners on a team will also be eligible for overall and age group individual awards.
PACKET PICKUP: We will offer a packet pickup on Friday, 11/15/19 from 3-6pm at Lexington Clinic Veterans Park (630 Southpointe Drive, Lexington, KY 40511). You may also pickup your packet on race morning at Veterans Park/Shelter 1 from 7:30-9am.
The course will be officially measured and marked for your safety and direction. The course will have some open grassy areas, cross at least one dry rocky creek as well as hard packed dirt trail areas. There will be at least 2 and likely 3 hydration stops along the course where water and SWORD Hydration will be served.
Proceeds from the race will benefit KyMBA (Kentucky Mountain Bike Association) who have put in a great deal of time, energy and money to build and maintain the trail system at Veteran's Park. Also special thanks to Lexington Parks & Recreatiion for allowing us to put on this pilot first year race.
RACE PRICING: $25 Through 8/31/19, $30 from 9/1-9/31, $35 from 10/01-11/15, $40 on race day
RACE SHIRTS We will be ordering our race shirts on November 6th. While we will likely order extras, to guarantee your shirt size you should register by this date. When you register it will only give you the shirt size options that are available. If you size is not available you can select "No Shirt Option" and donate or save $ or pick another size and try to swap it out after the race if we end up with a shirt in your preferred size (i.e. No shows).
