Event Description

The Quartet Relay is run on a 1-mile loop by 4-person relay teams with ONE runner from each team running at a time.  The decisions of who / when / how far each team member runs is up to each quartet.  Example:  Team A can decide that each member will run one lap (1 mile) before handing off...Team B can decide that each member will run 1/3 lap (1/3 mile), etc.  The quartet that has completed the most laps at the end of 1 hour is the winner.  In the event of a tie, there will be a one lap, sudden-death race.

The registration fee for each relay team runner is $25.00.  This will include a long-sleeve race shirt, as long as supplies last.

The event will be on the southeast side of the Stow-Munroe Falls High School, on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  The race begins at 9:00 AM and will end at 10:00 AM.  The majority of the course surface is grass, with some gravel, and with some pavement.  The course does not leave the school property and does not use any of the public roadways.

Free parking is available in the high school parking lot (west side of the building).

Quartets may bring a pop-up canopy / shelter to be used by their resting runners.  Quartets are encouraged to create a team name and to wear similar clothing / uniforms / decorations.

DJ music will be available.  Headphone use is permitted, but please use a volume level to allow officials and passing runners to communicate, as needed.

The proceeds of this race will benefit the Stow-Munroe Falls Choir Boosters organization.  The Choir Boosters are a registered, non-profit entity with Tax ID 75-3205442.
