ABOUT

Join us this fall as we host our 2nd annual Sunburst Races -  Elkhart! Our 5-mile road race will offer long sleeve technical shirts, finisher awards, and (optimistically thinking) cool, crisp, runner-friendly temps. The race, beginning at 8:00 am on Sunday, October 2, 2022, will start and finish at/near Elkhart Health & Aquatics (located at 200 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46516). Runners will enjoy scenic views of Elkhart along the St. Joseph River, the beautiful and vibrant River District, and other areas of the city. An official course map will be released in the near future. 

After finishing, runners may treat themselves to some post-race snacks and cheer on their fellow runners to an enthusiastic finish.  A quick awards ceremony will take place around 10:00 am, weather permitting, for the top overall finisher in the Open & Master's Divisions of both male and female.

SHIRT DEADLINE

To be guaranteed a shirt, runners must register by September 21. 

VOLUNTEERS

As with all events, we could use some extra assistance. Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas: start/finish line, water stops, and course marshals. If you have any questions regarding volunteer opportunities, please email us at sunburstraces@beaconhealthsystem.org.

Finisher medals are not provided for this event. 

No pets allowed (due to safety and liability reasons).
