Event Description

The 1st annual Monster Dash takes place in the heart of Playa Vista. The route starts and ends at the beautifully renovated Runway Center and loops around Bluff Creek Drive. The flat route makes it an ideal race for children, adults, and families with strollers. The event will start with a dynamic warmup led by a certified personal trainer and finish off with a rejuvenating yoga class from a YogaWorks instructor. The After Party will be complete with live music, free food and drink, vendor booths, fun activities, a costume contest, raffle prizes and so much more. 

Make sure to come dressed in your costume and be ready to have a spooktacular time!

7:00-7:45AM: Check in & bib pick-up

8:00AM: Race starts (Adults 14+)

8:20AM: Family fun run starts (Kids and adults)

8:30AM: After Party begins

10:00AM: Costume contest

Participants are not allowed to run with dogs. Running/walking with a stroller is allowed. All participants will receive a dog tag medal and swag bag. Participating in costume is highly encouraged!

All ages can participate in the 5K Race.

What are the policies about children?

Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Where do I pick-up my bib?

Packet pick-up will be available on Saturday October 27th, 2019 from 4-7pm at The Resort in Playa Vista, located at 12852 Runway Road, Playa Vista, CA 90094. Same day packet pick-up will start at 7:00am and will be located at [INSERT ADDRESS].

Where do I park?

Parking is around surrounding neighborhoods. You can also park in the Runway parking lot. Please watch for parking signs. We recommend using the shuttle, carpooling, or using a rideshare service.

How can I participate in the Costume Contest?

The costume contest will take place at the After Party post-race. We will have adult, child, and family/group prizes. For children ages 14 and under, we will have 4 different categories: Best Homemade Costume, Most Creative/Original Costume, Most Standout Costume, and Scariest Costume. If you’d like to participate, meet at the DJ booth at 10:00am.

What will I receive the day of the event?

In your packet pick-up, you will receive a bib, safety pins, and a customized My Intent bracelet. Post-race, you will receive a swag bag with awesome goodies from our sponsors.

Do you offer timing chips?

No, we do not offer timing chips. We will have a Finishing Timer Clock at the finish line and will start with the 8:00am Heat. If you’re starting in a different heat, we recommend you use your own timer for the most accurate tracking.
