FRIDAY, MAY 8
AT ALA MOANA BEACH PARK

6 AM : RACE VENUE SETUP

2 PM : OPTIONAL FREE SWIM CLINIC/COURSE INTRODUCTION

3-6 PM : PACKET PICKUP, LATE REGISTRATION

Race Packet includes: Athlete Number Sheet, Body Number Tattoo, Swim Cap (triathletes only), Souvenir T-shirt, pins and other goodies. Be sure to bring the signed affidavit and USAT waiver. You should apply the body number tattoo the night before.  This reduces the time for pre-race check in and allows us to start on-time.

4 PM : RACE BRIEFING (JAPANESE)

AFTER BRIEFING : TRI CLINIC (JAPANESE)

Show how to set up transition area, tire changing, and explain best practices for success, following each race briefing for New Triathletes.

 

SATURDAY, MAY 9
AT ALA MOANA BEACH PARK

9AM : OPTIONAL FREE SWIM CLINIC/COURSE INTRODUCTION

Course Introduction at swim start.

10:30 AM – 5 PM : PACKET PICKUP, LATE REGISTRATION

12 PM: RACE BRIEFING (ENGLISH)

15 minutes.  Make it easy on yourself and READ the briefing on-line instead of attending the on-site briefing.  Staff will be available to answer questions.  Be sure to review the Information Tower at the event.

12:15PM : TRI CLINIC (ENGLISH)

10:30 AM, 1 & 3 PM : RACE BRIEFING (JAPANESE)

2 PM : MANDATORY BRIEFING & SKILLS CLINIC FOR YOUTH (11-14) AND KIDS (7-10)

All Youth & Kids Athletes competing MUST attend this clinic and briefing.  Your parents MUST attend with you.

RACE DAY PREPARATIONS

CHECK-IN:  Plan to ride and arrive early on RACE MORNING.  Bike racks will be numbered.KIDS (7-10) Parents are encouraged to arrive early since the park will be closed to vehicle traffic at 5:30am on race day and you will need to walk in to the race venue.  For the Kids Race we recommend arriving around 8AM.

Bike Check-in, Gear, Body Marking (IF you need it), Timing Chip, Extra Swim Caps and pins will be available.

5 AM : SWIM COURSE OPEN FOR WARM-UPS

5:30 AM : SWIM COURSE CLOSED

5:30 AM : OPENING CEREMONIES

National Anthem, Hawaii Pono’i (we request quite respect for these songs)
