It’s time to make a splash, Spartans. We’re headed to Ocean City, Maryland for some fun in the sun at the 3-mile Ocean City Spartan Sprint.

Don’t expect much lounging around on this beach vacation. You’ll be speeding through the sand, boardwalks and streets of Ocean City, all while weaving your way through 20 of Spartan’s most famous obstacles.

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20 obstacles over 3 mi / 5 km, you’ll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

Parking will be off-site and all racers will be shuttled in by buses. Please arrive early and allow time for transport to the venue. 
*Parking and Shuttles are free for Spartan attendees only.

ARRIVAL: BE EARLY
Arrive an hour and a half before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up.

Registration opens at 6:30am.

WHAT TO BRING
Your ID
Barcode (print or save your registration barcode to your phone.)
Towel & extra (dry) clothes
Recommended: Headlamp and Camelback

WHAT NOT TO BRING
Outside food and drink (racers, fuel for the race is OK), Negative Attitude

WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend dressing in performance gear (NOT COTTON). Think compression tights or shorts and breathable tops made from moisture wicking material (you’re going to sweat). Wear comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in.

In addition to your clothes, consider fuel when planning for race day.

For a Sprint distance you can normally get away with the water stations on course, but for our longer distances (Super, Beast, Ultra) we strongly suggest wearing a hydration pack and carrying energy gels or Clif bars.

We have all you need to gear up for race day at the Spartan Shop.
