We are coming back for the SIXTH ANNUAL EAV RUNFEST! 

For the 6th year we would like to thank Marc Takacs and In Atlanta Realty will be presenting the Fun Run - allowing all of the students from Burgess Peterson Academy to run for free!

For 2020, it will be the same format as previous events, with a 5K first, fun run for kids and parents of all ages, and finishing up with a 1 mile race.  We will be closing down the roads in the East Atlanta Village for an awesome spectator friendly two-lap, 1 mile race!

Also note that shirts are only for the 5k and 1-Mile racers; one shirt per entry.

Crowning Overall Champions

This will be one of the only running events in Atlanta where participants are able to race multiple times and challenge each other for an overall competition. Overall awards will be presented in the green space by the Argosy following the race. Scoring will be based on the placement in the 5k and the Mile. Lowest combined overall placement wins: Finish 1st in 5k, 3rd in Mile - 4 pts.

Team Competition

Co-ed Teams of 4 will be battling it out against cross-town rivals.  Expect the competition to be fierce and fun! With an incredible running culture in Atlanta expect some of the great local clubs to form multiple teams and participate in the evening of races.

Structure:

• Teams are comprised of 2 Men and 2 Women
• Each team will need to provide a name at registration and all changes must be made by 11:59pm the Friday before the race
• All 4 members must do the 5k AND Mile to score.
• Scoring will be done with normal XC Scoring with everything based off of Overall placement. Low score wins.

One Mile Challenge!

The highlight of the day will be a competitive two-lap, one mile race around EAV. The half mile course will provide a very spectator friendly event for those watching on and a competitive environment for the runners. Athletes of all ranges hoping to run their fastest mile possible will have the opportunity to let it all hang out!

Before the speedy 1-Milers race, the kids of Burgess Peterson Academy will be inviting all kids, parents and community supporters to participate in the half-mile Fun Run around EAV.

Register for multiple events and receive the following discounts:

• $10 to add-on the 1-mile
• Only $5 to add-on the fun run

There will be normal price increases as we closer to the race.  The full schedule is outline below.
