Event Description
The mission of AZ Heroes to Hometowns Salute A Soldier 5K and 1 Mile Walk is to honor and assist with the needs of injured military service members and their families with financial, spiritual, emotional, and social support as they return to their communities. This is a 5K run and 1 Mile walk to be held at Freestone Park in Gilbert AZ. Awards will be given to first place male and female finishers in age catagories for the 5K only. An event for all ages. Last minute registration will be available starting at 7:15AM on the morning of the race.The race will start promptly at 8:00AM with the National Anthem, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, and a short prayer. Please run/walk with us and support our wounded military men and women for their service to our country. This is a chip timed race 5K only.
