Event Description
FOUNTAIN 35 MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
With start/finish right at Fountain Park, this course will blast through town and into McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Once in the park, you’ll enjoy a fun and challenging mixture of trails, from the fast and ripping competition loops to sections of flat-out Pemberton. You’ll finish on the Coachwhip/Dixie Mine combo and then scream down Golden Eagle and into Fountain Park where more fun awaits!
FOUNTAIN 50 MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
This beast measures at 52 miles, but we like round numbers. Also starting at Fountain Park this course rips uphill and out of town into McDowell Mountain Regional Park, where you’ll hit Dixie Mine and Pemberton to the comp loops. From there, the course diverges from the 35 and you’ll do Escondido, Scenic Ridge before climbing to the top of the park, only to finish by climbing up Bell Pass (you heard me) and ripping down Prospector/Dixie Mine and back into town. Finish the 50 and you’ve earned your day in the sun, lying in the grass with great beer, food and music to soothe those tired legs!
ROAD CHARITY CHALLENGE
We have a different take on your typical charity bike event. Instead of taking you out of town on a long journey, we’re going to keep you fairly close, on a challenging circuit through town. Each time you come through start/finish at the Fountain Park, you’ll earn money for your selected charity and be met by cheering fans, friends and family. Here you can also fuel up for another roller coaster lap of our town. At 10 miles and 1000 feet of climbing per lap, how many can you do?
