Event Description

Fifth Annual Oro Valley Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon Festival takes place on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

New in 2019: All triathlon and duathlon divisions will go first. The Youth Splash-n-Dash will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. (after confirming all adults have cleared the run course)

Two New Challenges starting in 2019

1) New Parent/Child Team Effort Award

Parents participating in the triathlon with a child also participating in the splash-n-dash, your times will added together for a total time. The fastest Parent/Child  team for each Splash-n-Dash division will receive a special Team Effort Award.

2) Collegiate Club Challenge

Collegiate Clubs can register a team (minimum 3 members) to participate in the Club Challenge. Your entire club membership can participate with the special club pricing. The top 3 fastest times from each club will be used to determine the Team's overall score. A special Club Trophy will be given to the fastest collegiate team. This trophy will be passed year-after-year to the fastest Club. (Please contact us to set up your club's team.)

The Swim

The swim takes place at the BEAUTIFUL Oro Valley Aquatics Center at the base of the Catalina Mountains. The pool will set up for long course and you will serpentine swim (youth mini sprint and beginner sprint do not serpentine swim)

The Bike

The entire bike course is coned off from traffic and includes one dedicated car lane and bike lane for participants.  Be prepared for some fast downhills and a couple short uphills.  

The Run

The run is flat and fast (Duathlon participants will do one loop before the bike and two loops after the bike)

PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer refunds for any reason. However, you can defer your entry up to one year. (For example: if you purchase an entry for 2019, you can defer that entry to 2020.)
