Event Description

Come join us for a 5K run/walk on Carrollton’s beautiful Greenbelt Trail. The event will begin and end at the Hobbs Farm Trailhead, a scenic fast course. The Lightning dash 5K is hosted by the Citizens of Georgia Power Carrollton chapter. This group is made up of employees of Georgia Power Company and their families. The chapter works all year long on service projects and fundraisers to benefit the local communities of Carroll, Haralson and Heard counties. The proceeds of the Lightning Dash 5K will benefit both the March of Dimes & the West Georgia Area Relay for Life.

This is a fast and easy course suitable for children, walkers and competitive runners. This event is rain or shine. Stroller parents are welcome, please follow racecourse etiquette.

There will be one water station along the route, snacks & water at the finish and the event will offer chipped timing for instant results. Services provided by SoleRoots Racing (www.solerootsracing.com). Every registered participant will have their Bib Number entered in a drawing for great door prizes. Drawing will take place at the conclusion of the race. You must be present to win.

 Event details and schedule
Registration is $25; you must register by March 12th to guarantee a t-shirt. Price will increase to $30 on March 20 at 11 pm.

Race Day Registration/check-in is from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM --race starts at 8:00 AM

***Early Packet Pickup***
Please join us for packet pick-up the Friday before the race to get your bib, shirt, and participant bags. You may also register at early packet pickup for $30.
