Online registration is now closed. You can register the morning of the event, Saturday, November 9th at 8:30 am. Please print and fill out the paper registration form, found on the left side of the page.
5k run/walk starts at 10am. 1 mile starts at 10:10am. Donations remain open on the Run Signup page.
Join us for the 9th annual Outrun Hunger! Outrun Hunger is a 5k and 1 mile event for charity partnering with two food pantries, Hospitality House of Commerce and Open Door Outreach Center of Waterford, to help feed Lakes Region families during the holiday season. Best of all, 100% of the contributions, (excluding online transaction fees), goes back to our community for those in need. According to our partner organizations, they served 1,551 families (up 390 from last year) and 3,635 individuals (up 699 from last year) in November and December, the “demand” often overwhelms the “supply.” Come join us to Outrun Hunger this holiday season!
5k Awards: Age group winner awards are sponsored by New Balance and local businesses. Awards are presented for "overall" and the following age groups:
- Overall Male/Female
- Overall Master Male/Female
- Overall Grand Masters Male/Female
- Then by age groups for both Male/Female:
5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up
1-mile Awards: 1st place 12 and under male/female. 1st place adult male/female.
First place isn't possible for you? Our awards don't stop at first place, many local businesses donate gift certificates & products. After the award ceremony, we raffle off these prizes, so stick around and see if you win!
Registration and packet pickup starts at 8:30 am. 5k run/walk starts at 10am. 1 mile starts at 10:10am.
The race will be professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Run Sign Up.
