Event Description

Brynn & Brittni Frace's Memorial Running Chicken 10K & Fun Run will happen on January 5, 2020 at beautiful Santa Margarita Lake in northern San Luis Obispo County. The run course is a 10-kilometer out-and-back course on paved and dirt roads along the shoreline of Santa Margarita Lake.

The run course is approximately 20 percent paved and 80 percent dirt, with several challenging hills.

The fun run course is approximately 2.5 miles and follows a portion of the 10K run course, including two hills.

Packet Pick-up will be Saturday, January 4th, from 12 - 5 pm at Spring Hill Suites in Atascadero, located at 900 El Camino Real (near the Home Depot).

Event details and schedule

The 10K and fun run/walk will start at 9:00am. Full details regarding the race can be found at Run4BittiAndBrynn.org, including a course map, elevation chart and course run-through video.  Directions to Santa Margarita Lake are here.  The event will occur rain or shine, but the race organizers reserve the right to alter the run course to ensure the safety of participants in the event of inclement weather.  

The first 400 registrants receive a specially designed swag package due to limited supplies.  Please note, cellular service is sporadic at Santa Margarita Lake, and there are areas on the run course without service at all.  As a result, race day registration can be paid only by cash or check.
