Event Description

Join us on Sunday, November 8th in Nocatee for the first annual Sandy Clause Half Marathon / 10K race.  Start and finish will take place in the field next to the Nocatee Splash Water Park.  The course will include the scenic Nocatee Greenway Trails, and will circle through several of the local developments within Nocatee.

The Half Marathon is presented by the Florida Striders Run Club.  Profits from this event will benefit the Florida Striders Children's Running Program.  Keeping our Children walking and running regularly improves grades, focus, behavior, self esteem and fitness.  For less than $10 per child, we can provide all the incentivies (marathon medals,club mile shirts for 50/100/150...300), intermediate mileage incentives (plastic feet) a child can earn in an entire school year. A very small investment in our elementary school children run/walk program makes a huge difference in their lives. With over 18,000 children supported in 50 schools...and growing. Your financial support will make a big difference!

The 10K event is being presented by High Fives For Hope.  Monies raised from this event will directly sport the H54H non-profit and their mission.  Our purpose for High Fives for Hope, Inc. (H54H) is to create awareness and do our part to eradicate a disease that has touched all of us one way or another. Founded on the principle that we can make a difference, we believe that the desire is inherent in all people to make our world a better place. Through the help of those who believe in our cause, and the dissemination of millions of high fives, High Fives for Hope, Inc. (H54H) and its founders believe we can make a difference.
