Join us for the 2nd Annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss 5K and Fun Run in Sand Springs! The race was started last year in honor of our son, Jacob, who was stillborn  just 7 days before his scheduled delivery. In the aftermath of our loss, we received support and care from two amazing nonprofit organizations: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) and Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death (M.E.N.D.). With a desire to channel our grief into positive action, we sought out a tangible way to find any light in our darkest time. Ours goals are (1) to honor all families grieving from loss by infertility, miscarriages, stillbirths, and through early infancy, (2) to raise funds in support of nonprofit organizations that exist to help families heal from such losses, and, (3) to honor the memory of our son, Jacob. Those three goals led us to organize the 1st Annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss 5K in 2018 and we could not be more proud of its success. As we found out last year, the number of families dealing with these types of losses is staggering and, sadly, mostly dealt with in silence. We found that there were hundreds of people within our own community that were thrilled to be able to walk or run for their babies, and for those close to them.

This year we are working to raise the stakes by offering electronic chip timing for all 5K participants, and a 1 Mile Fun Run for participants of all ages! 100% of our net profits will be donated to NILMDTS and M.E.N.D. For more information about these outstanding nonprofit groups, you may visit their websites linked below. We hope that you will join us for the 2nd Annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss 5K and Fun Run!
